Foyer Saga: Over OR What The Hell Have You Been Doing All Month?

First the big stuff: our contractor finished the floor in the vestibule!
The design is based on this 1936 board game. Now this room needs to get finished.
Meanwhile, the living room has been wrapped up, except a little trimwork near the construction area. And I got going on the stairway. Here’s the before photo:
I shot this in cruelly unfair lighting to make the finished work look better. I have fixed up the wall but not the actual stairway treads yet. This is the result:
Lotta big projects coming up. Meanwhile, almost all the main areas of the house are done. Some work left on the hallways, though.
